Honey Glazed Bacon Brussels Sprouts

Brussels sprouts have gotten a bad rep over the years. They were served back in the day as steamed Brussels sprouts with no flavor. Brussels sprouts have made come back over the years. This Brussels sprouts recipe is quick, easy and full of flavor. If you think that you don’t like Brussels sprouts, this recipe is sure to change your mind.

Honey Glazed Bacon Brussels Sprouts

Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 mins.
Cook Time: 15 mins.
Difficulty: Easy

1 lb.  Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in quarters
3 slices of thick-cut applewood smoked bacon
1/2 cup sliced red onion
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp. Olive Oil (use regular olive oil, not extra virgin olive oil)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cracked pepper


Cook chopped bacon in a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat until slightly crispy. In the same pan with the bacon drippings, add olive oil, red onion and Brussels sprouts, cook Brussels sprouts, stirring occasionally, until caramelized and golden brown about 10 minutes. When the Brussels are golden brown, turn off the heat, add honey to the pan evenly coating the Brussels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
